All the side marker lights on my 31W were installed upside down with weep hole facing up....musta been the new guy on the line....and the dealer didn't catch it after I brought the moisture thing to their attention...I figured it out about 2-3 weeks after taking delivery...had to take off and turn them 180. No , couldn't just flip the lens.....I just love spending 80k for something I HAVE TO REBUILD..

Had to replace my leds on a 17 KM24. They worked but only 2-3 leds in each section. Screws were also mostly rusted out. After drying out the cavity and scraping out some fungus that was growing I flex sealed the cavity. Replaced OEM lights with Partsam lights which looked to be sealed well. Used a thin bead of clear sealant around the top and sides (not bottom.) So far so good.

My cab marker lights are like little bullets. They are supposed to snap in tightly with a rubber gasket to seal them. They were the last thing I inspected to find source of water intrusion that appeared under the drivers window. 2 of the lights simply fell out in my hands. I put them back in with plenty of goop. No more leak. Seems water was coming in and running down the wiring to the light switch where it then ran underneath the wall paper and created a bubble.
Like I’ve said for 35 years, if you own an RV, you’ve gotta be pretty handy as well.

My keystone TT, on the other hand leaked like the titanic going down and had significant plumbing and electrical problems. I owned it for 6 months before trading it in on a Freedom Elite class C that was light years better. You never know in this business.

I had a PM request for the backup bulbs I used. I thought I'd post it here for those who don't want new housings but want usable backup lights. The lux info is in my signature thread.
https://www.thorforums.com/forums/sh...9&postcount=96
Line the place a reflector should be in the housing, and isn't, with aluminum tape to increase reflectivity. White gloss spray paint is within a few points of aluminum reflectivity, so you can paint it if you'd rather.
Basically, the stocks bulbs were 880ish and these bulbs are 5,800(close enough. The meter readings are in the post.)

These are the light bars I use on the front of the 24.1 and other equipment.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01M2...b_b_asin_image
(no one asked, but I was going through the historic buys, so here it is.)
Legalities are yours to research.

They seem to work fine.

Arizona must've legalized marijuana .. otherwise, this comment makes no sense at all.
So, to further describe "why" Thor is at fault .. OMG, I know, that hurts.
- Thor installs vacuum breaker high in a wall
- Thor fails to tighten the fitting to said vacuum breaker, and vacuum breaker leaks behind a wall
- Leaks are bad in RV's, Mmm'kay
- Thor's own build specs specify an access door to said vacuum breaker that is prone to leak ... "No Fuss Flush Check Valve in walls between bath and bedroom with access panel in left shirt closet. Panel must be removable with screws."
- Owner looks for said panel in left shirt closet that must be removable with screws ... see's no such panel. Only stapled paneling that's part of a cabinet that would be destructive to remove.
- Owners asks Thor Support for guidance on access panel ... Thor Support says "...spoke with a senior tech and there is not a specific area we can give you to gain access to it besides what is listed on the layout already. I know there are not screws anywhere like stated but he recommended to just start cutting and make a big enough access hole in case there is a next time."
- Owner removes vanity & adjacent paneling to avoid cutting random holes and access leaky part due to a loose fitting. In doing so, owner finds access panel and says "well looky there, its an access panel that's not accessible".
So, do tell me, where was the "well placed door you didn't see in your rv but saw on the provided schematics was access to a part Thor didn't make"?? And besides that, why is who made the vacuum breaker even a point??

I've replaced my "loaner" microwave: Galanz Model#GSWWD09S1A09A, drop-in direct replacement that is a oven/airfryer/microwave; $95 at WALMART. Makes great cookies!

How did you vent it? Link states it's a countertop unit.

How did we get from leaky taillights to access doors that aren’t there to microwave that the link takes me to refrigerators to “oh, it needs to be vented?”.

Duckface mentioned the "loaner" taillights, radios and microwaves. Sorry if I muddled the conversation.

The Galanz unit fits directly in the space, and the vented trim piece fits perfectly around it. I haven't done any empirical measurements yet, gut will when my wife/tour cook gets active with the options. If I find excessive heat retention I'll drop in a temperature controlled 12v blower.

There are several mentions of LED units. Since they draw much less current than incandescent, how do they handle the issue of getting enough current through the flasher unit? Do they have a replacement flasher?

Sometimes they don't need special stuff
The maker usually has a link to a dongle that cures the problem.
Buy the leds which say such a thing isn't needed. Thetve put a bit more thought into them.
I don't find a benefit to led replacements for brake and tail lights.
They're a bit more expensive and sometimes obnoxiously bright.
I saw a 2021 24.1 with factory led taillights.

Sorry for the delay in answering. The light units and adapters are available either from AMAZON, for from AutoZone or Riley AutoParts stores.
