Lining problem new Freedom Elite 26he

Hello. I just purchased on may 12 2017 new Rv freedom Elite 26he. And my Rv leaning on driver side Around 2-3 inch. I will like to finding out if any body with same model have same problem. I been told by factory it's coming problem, and I need perches kit to eliminate this problem. Unit is exactly is came from factory. No personal item in rv. Please let me know. I am trying to make case or repair. 3 weeks and I don't enjoy , because leaning, and polling right . Let me know ACAP. My email darnitsa @gmail.com

I also have a 2017 Freedom Elite 26HE and I have noticed the same thing - it leans slightly to the left - always. Noticeably more with the slide extended and I'd imagine even more with two of us sleeping in the slide. I have concluded the coach is just heavier on that side. I sometimes put an extra layer of leveling locks on that side but usually just ignore it. It drives fine. Let us know if you find anything wrong!

It appears to be a common problem with the 26HE Freedom elite. We bought ours march 4, 2017 and noticed the same problem. I went to a heavy truck spring shop. They added longer U bolts and added a lifting block above springs for the drivers side. $150. It is level now.

But, the real problem is that Thor and Ford need to get together on the spring design for the chassis to adapt to the additional weight for the drivers side. LP tank, fresh water tank, Kithchen, slide out. ETC ETC. Ford builds the chassis to specs that Thor gives them!!

I asked a good truck suspension shop about it and they said it really isn't a problem - just an aesthetic issue. Pretty easy to fix, apparently. The suggested repair would be to add a leaf or helper spring on the left side for $300 "or maybe a little less", I don't think I'm going to spend the money. Since I noticed mine leaning I've noticed that quite a few motor homes do it.

Most likely not: Thor just buys Ford chassis "off the shelf" so to speak and builds on top of them.

There has been evidence that Thor just takes whatever Ford gives them (as an example: There are some Axis/Vegas units with an unusable windshield wiper stalk on the steering column--all Axis/Vegas units have the wiper controls on the dash independent of the one that may or may not be on the column).

I agree with JamieGreek - you might be expecting too much engineering and custom design work on entry level units. Especially if it's just an aesthetic issue that not everybody will ever even notice. If anyone out there can suggest a reasonably priced helper spring that an owner can bolt on I'd be happy to give it a try and let you all know how it goes. I've not tried to do any research on a home grown fix yet.

My dealer installed a spacer block and new U Bolts furnished by Thor under warranty and now the motorhome is "on the level"
