Details on how to remove the miserable over the door TV mount on an axis/Vegas

Pictures say most of it.
After many attempts at removal, I closed my eyes, put evil thoughts in a safe place and nindza jedi'd it.

Simple
Standing on the top step facing inward, slide the back of your hands up along the wall, on both sides of the mount. Feel the two ears sticking farthest out on either side of the bottom sides of the mount. Press them gently, five pounds or so, toward the tv. This releases the latch on the bottom edge of each side. It is now just hinged on the rod you see in the picture. Lift up about half an inch and move the TV toward the inside of the coach.
My cables were long enough to lay it face down on the counter without unhooking anything.

I installed this new swivel mount in about ten minutes.

Miserable is right. Took a long while but figured it out. Found that moving passenger seat out of the way helps to see the latch. Crazy mount with no access to the connectors. I added a swivel mount but was overkill and much heavier than we need. Tv is very light and wish I had found one less hefty similar to the outside Tv mount.

Our Georgetown was like that-no lift up to access anything behind the bedroom TV-it was permanently mounted. By squeezing my arm through the small slot on the side I was able to hook up an HDMI cable for the DVD. Left it there when we traded as we wouldn't wish that on another, trying to plug the cord in.
