We had an issue where the retract switch 'stuck' unbeknownst to us and later there was a awful stench of something in the MH. Turns out the motor stayed energized for a few minutes (or more?) and once found, did not work. When we got home I tried the switch and the slide did move some, but the sound of the motor was not 'normal', so I quickly retracted the slide, and after a couple of attempts, it did seal back up.
So I am asking if anyone has opened up a Klauber L-150 motor before? Removal looks easy, but once I take it out, I am sure the slide would "slide out" on the first turn!!

So until I get a replacement, and they do not look to easy to get, I would like to try and clean it out... So much smell was let out, and sticky goo came out too, I do not hold much hope but will give it a try.
We have two weeks before our next adventure, we can live with the slide in, I just hope the slide does not try to leave the MH while driving if I cannot get the motor back in.
