Lippert Solara Awning question

Was opening up the MH this morning (Freedom Elite 30FE) to get it ready for (hopefully) a trip in early June, and went to deploy the awning.
Nothing happened when I pressed the rocker switch either for deploy or retract.
Checked the 15 amp fuse with an ohm meter and it was ok.
Removed the 4 screws holding the switch assembly and checked for power at the switch. Had 13.35 v.
I went into the Thor owner resource site for my particular model and looked for a wiring schematic for the awning. Found installation data but no wiring diagram.
Did a google search for a solara wd and found one.

Here is where I got confused. The wd shows 4 wires (red, black, blue and white) going into the rocker switch. The switch on my MH has six wires ( red, white (2), green/yellow(2) and red/black. I don’t know where all these wires go, but at the awning motor, according to the wd, there should only be two wires.

I decided to see if I could deploy the awning manually by using a ratchet and socket and (because it’s so slow that way) got it about two inches into deployment.
I then decide to try the awning switch and this time the awning fully deployed (and) was able to retract. I searched for and found no loose wires.
So, now my questions are:
What could have caused the awning motor to freeze up without blowing a fuse and does anyone have an idea why there are so many wires at the switch?
Thanks for any replies.

Does the switch assembly for the awning also have a switch to turn on the awning lights (assuming you have an LED light strip with your awning)? Wondering if the extra wires are for the lights?

The awning also has an interlock so it won’t operate if the parking brake is not on or the engine is running. Also wondering if something was going on with the interlock circuit?

The LED light switch is a separate stand alone switch. The switch in tandem with the awning switch is for the step lights and they worked ok before I started troubleshooting the awning. The step light switch has two purple wires
