a little help please

i have a 2017 Challenger. in the rear cargo bay where the electrical cord is located there's a floor hatch, or bung where you put the cord through.
i need another bung that has a slot to put the cord through that would leave the bung in place.
this morning i opened the cargo door only to have a racoon with an attitude trying to make me feel like a trespasser. it didn't work.
eviction notice in motion !

i've tried to find something that would close that big 5" hole while its plugged in and have had no luck.
what does everyone else use ?

PS, condolences for the racoon are useless at this point..

How big is the hole that you need to fill?
(Our Tiffin has what might be the right-sized hatch for you...)
Raccoons: I've heard that they taste...

"Just like chicken!"

See how lucky you are. I didn't know that ANY 2017 THORS came with pet doors as an option.

How about something like this (if my link works) a round electric cable hatch for RV’s…….they may have larger diameter devices that would work better for the 5.5” opening:

You might be looking more like Daniel Boone come next camping trip with that new fur hat.

I saw something at the Quartzite RV show last year that fit down inside that hole and it had a screen that closed tight around the wire so that even ants can’t get in. I can’t remember what it was called, but I wish I bought it because I had an ant invasion not long after that.

I was finally able to get outside with a camera...
Sorry that it took so long!

Twist them ninety degrees right, and that's what they look like.

I rarely use the bung hole. The tubular gasket for the cargo door has a gap in it slightly larger than the cord diameter (intentional or defect — no idea). I lay the cord in that gap & close the door. Not insect proof or waterproof I suppose, but in 60,000 miles of travel all over the country I’ve never had a varmint inside my cargo bay & its tons quicker than feeding the cord thru the hole & back again.

Hole

I took a piece of dense foam about 2" thick cut it to fit the hole then cut a hole in the center the diameter of the power cord and cut a slit from the outside edge to the small hole so you can slip it onto the cord. I also raped the edge that goes into the hole with duch tape. You want the type that's some what flexiable foam.

That’s a great idea! Especially if you’ll be staying someplace for awhile. I’ll put it on my list.

My electric cord compartment opens down and is under the slideout. I cut a piece of plywood wide and tall enough to cover the compartment, then cut a piece out of the top of the plywood in the center where the cord comes out. When setting up, I pull the cord out of thecompartment through the compartment door then place the board up over the cord and tape the plywood to the outside wall. Then put the extend the slide. Unfortunately the plywood I sin the vehicle now so not available for me to take a picture. So I attached a drawn picture.
