Most thief's will pry the door if they see that the windows are closed.
That is, not thinking that a tight slide window is un-hasped

Hahahaha...it happened to us once, never ever again (well maybe one more time...)

Had a TT years ago and some kids broke in to “party” (or something....). One of them went in through a ceiling vent and then unlocked the door. Ladder made it easy.

Keeping a spare compartment key works pretty well

The rest of the key ring can be kept there, a bit hidden perhaps

My rig has 6 different keys plus two fobs so you have a key ring full. The engine and door/compartment fobs are different

Hide a storage lock key zip tied to the inside of the propane bay and then hide the door keys velcrored to the inside of the one of the bays, have only used it once.

Just had this happen tonight. Easily opened the dinette window and not so easily climbed into said window.

Tomorrow will be investigating why the lock failed and making duplicates to keep somewhere else

The failure of these locks is probably near the top of the problem list on Thor and others. Just do a search and you will see what is wrong with your lock and some replacement solutions.
