Help Thor Vegas tire question / LT225/75R 16E

Folks in my neighborhood love Big O tires and they work on motorhomes.
Looking at their website here.
I have:
LT225/75R 16E All Season
12/2023
I see this tires and wanted opinions from the experts.
01) Terramax AT 4S / LT225/75R16 115/112S E
MSPN: SAIL-5549263 $153
Load 2680

02) Toyotires 225/75R16C 121/120R E
MSPN: TOYO-369750 $166
Load 3197

I looked at the link and folks say look at "C" rated tires?
I have a Sam's club near and need to see if they work on rigs..

https://www.thorforums.com/forums/f8...nge-27337.html

Confused

Confused
If you currently have "E" rated tires DO NOT go down to "C" rated tire because the "C" rated tires will have a lower load carrying capacity than your current "E" rated tires.

"C" in this case is not a load rating - it is a Commercial designation, kinda like LT is Light Truck designation.

I had hankooks, now I have coopers.
Except for 3 peak because we can get (supposedly) on some roads without needing chains,
Tires to me need little thought.
Buy rated tires of some brand and sort,
Move on.

I do buy Michelin out of habit.
There is no other reason for me.

Punchline:
If works, don't fix it.

Yes, so the 225/75/16 without the LT in front of it is a European 10ply( C Rating) they have a C8 or C9 rating, where here in the states we use LT225/75/16. The C9 holds more than the C8 and the inflation is also higher as well. The European 10 ply holds more weight at its max inflation vs the LT version. If you look at a lot of the Mercedes, Ram Pro masters and Ford Transits they all have the European 10 ply (225/75/16)

Hope that helps.

Yes, just match the Hankooks. They make a good tire, easy to find and replace if/when needed. You can go either route, either LT225/75/16 or 225/75/16C8. It won’t matter, just know that you should replace them every 6 years.
