Low oil pressure

I had problem no oil pressure on cold start after setting for a day or two, some times for three to five minutes. I took it to ford they could not find any stored codes and after a week gave up and give it back to me.
That was over a year ago and over 5 thousand mile no more problem.

Oil pressure issues must be troubleshot using a mechanical oil pressure gauge. If you truly have no oil pressure immediately (within 2-3 seconds) after start-up, you’re sitting on a ticking time bomb. Oil pumps that are worn or made out of tolerance will lose their prime and sometimes can take hundreds of revolutions to suck enough oil from the pan to regain their seal and become primed.

There have been many cases where the oil pressure sending units have hardened diaphragms which later crack and leak. Pressure transducers fail.

I think this is a software problem as when the the light goes out the gauge jumps to normal at the same time and when they connected the code reader it reset the computer, scary but it was under warranty and Ford told me to drive it in.
