Low point drain

Ok I give up. I have hot water pouring out of the hot water low point drain under the RV and have pulled it apart looking for the low point drain valve. It’s a 2017 Chateau 28z. The cold water low point drain is not open and they are not capped so there has to be a valve somewhere.
Anyone ran across it?
Not under sink
Not under shower
Not under bathroom sink
Not under bed compartment where the pump is.

Download the fresh water diagrams from Thor’s Owner’s Resource page. The diagram should give you the general location of the valve.

The drain valve is right above where you are seeing water run out underneath. Take some measurement underneath from where you are seeing water flow out fore or aft, right or left from points that you can find inside or out to pinpoint where it is inside.

The diagrams EA37TS recommends will get you to the general location but they are schematic with no reference dimensions.

FWIW, that valve can be very hard to see. One clue is a pull ring on top.

Is this a new to you unit? Or have you had it a while and this just started?

No but in south Louisiana, no need to winterize. We use our rv more during the fall and winter because it’s so damn hot in the summer

Like was mentioned, the pex drain pipe goes straight up through the floor to a tee. Reference the inside where they come through the floor. It's likely behind a drawer or easily removed panel. Look for tiny black plastic t-handle pulls slightly recessed into floor cutouts.

But I'm also puzzled... if this valve was open since you've had the rig, how did you use hot water... didn't you notice it before? If left open - when you turn on the water pump it will empty the fresh water tank in short order! Has nothing to do with winterization.

. Never used it, in Louisiana, we camp out in the winter more than the summer. When is freezes it's usually for a few hours at a time. I never had any issues and only drained my Hot water heater a few times just to make sure it was fine.

Our +90 temps start in June and end in September or October.

It was not opened before, I think the valve may have failed or was inadvertently opened somehow. It's only the hot water low point drain, no issues with the cold water drain.

Have you looked under the bed? See post #5 above.

Found them under the bed, under a lot of electrical wiring that was covering them up. Very easy to turn the knobs, too easy. I can see how it opened just through vibration. Installed a pex fitting on the pex line under the coach and capped it case it opens up again.
Being down south, I never have to use anti freeze anyway, but can still uncap it easy enough if needed.

Just a thought, I'm on my 3rd RV. The 1st 2 had what a call a guillotine valve, you don't turn them, you pull up and down. If you have that type and turn them instead, you may need to replace it.
