low pressure propane quick-connect not working

I am trying to connect a grill to my 2021 Axis propane quick-connect.

I am told that this is a low-pressure 1/4" quick-connect, and is AFTER the regulator, so I removed the regulator from my O Grill (now called the TravelQ]. but when I connect, nothing happens. Is there a way to tell whether propane is coming out of the port without connecting the grill?

Thanks

Did you open the quick connect so LP could flow? Small lever at the quick connect. Might also have one on the LP hose

You should have a second lever just like it; at the end of the hose where you connect your grill.

Yes, or course. All levers open, propane on, lit the grill in the RV to make sure gas was on, turned propane off/on in case I needed to reset the regulator.

I assumed that if the quick connect was on, pressing the middle valve in with a screwdriver should let some propane out? smelled nothing, which is why I wondered if it was working at all...

My quick connect will not turn on unless the hose is installed correctly. I also cannot install the hose unless the quick connect is turned off. You might need to find the appropriate fitting to plug in and perform your test.

Hi, I just thought I would close out this thread - turns out Thor used too short of a flex hose to go from the gas manifold to the quick disconnect, and it was kinked in 2 places. I switched out for a longer hose, and now works fine.

Many thanks for the follow up.
