Refrigerator replacement????

Have a 2017 Thor Palazzo 36.1 and though only two years old the 16 cu ft Whirlpool refrigerator is not cooling properly. I have a service person coming out this week to check it and hopefully return to working order. My question is how do folks replace the original one when it’s time? With the coach door off and the refrigerator doors removed I am still 1 1/2 inches shy from taking this one out. Looks like this one got put in before the coach door frame was installed?
Thanks,
Michael

On the Palazzo you can change out the RR through the passenger window. Take a look at this thread http://www.irv2.com/forums/f281/repl...or-375776.html

no doubt it will be difficult, EVEN if you could get it out the door... I can't imagine trying to take it out a window, and then also having to bring another one in that way..

btw, did you measure the fridge depth with the doors removed?

also, what is the nature of the 'problem' you've experienced with the fridge itself?

Perhaps a cutting torch, and a bunch of fire extinguishers?

Seems those Whirlpools of a couple years back have been having issues. I have heard of some being repaired but we had no luck with ours in our house. They said it could not be repaired and luckily the warrenty paid the purchase price allowing us to replace it with a Samsung.

There was a thread a while back on this topic and I believe they were able to repair theirs. I did have a friend a while back that removed a slide to install.

Good Luck with whatever the process.

Palazzo Refrigerator won’t Cool

We have a 2017 Palazzo that has been a PIA since we bought it New last. This months problem is that the frig won’t cool. Took it to RV service center but they don’t work on household refrigerators. We have an extended warranty so just wondering if I need to call a residential repairman to service this like it was in our home? Really getting frustrated with the constant money pit we purchased.

From batteries needing replaced to constant inverter issues I’m rather frustrated. Was hoping for a better experience for our first new RV.

90Ranger,
Call the warranty company and see what they want to do--always need to do that first so you don't run afoul of the fine print. What is the actual warranty on the refrigerator itself from the fridge mfg--check that first.

I would buy 10 coolers before removing a slide. My slides operate flawlessly and I would bet a $100 against a stale doughnut with a bite out of it, you would never get it back the same way. I would remove the window over the sofa and gather good help for lifting before removing the slide. The fridge couldn't be that heavy empty with the door off.

Well yes I did have to pull the refrigerator out of the cabinet and lower it into the coach for the service tech. Fortunate for me the fan motor was bad, he had one and the fridge is back in service. Cost just under $100.00. That said I’m not looking forward to replacing it EVER.
