Marker Lights out

Hi All!

Long time no speak. Hope you're all doing well.

At the top front of my 2016 Challenger I have two marker light out. Strange that it's only two years old and two lights are out, but I guess that's normal?

Anyway, can someone tell me what parts to order and a good place to order them from? I've been googling for a while and I guess I don't have the right key words.

Thanks in advance,

Bill

Just FYI, but those are notorious for getting moisture in them. They might just have corroded sockets that could be cleaned, but keep in mind that it will happen again. I bit the bullet and replaced all of ours with a complete LED fixture that is sealed.

You're killing me Earl.

Where did you get the LED lights? I'll bite the bullet.

I picked up mine (side marker in my case) from eTrailer.. They have an assortment...
Replacements had LED's built into the lens with a pigtail that plugged into the old socket. Since my issue was shattered lenses - they worked just fine.

I also just noticed that the top front marker lights on our Axis and those on your Challenger are quite different. The Axis/Vegas has the "tear drop look" where it looks like yours are more rectangular. I'll still let you know my source.

Thanks Earl. I like the idea of spending a little more and not having to do the job again.

Okay, the teardrop style on our Axis are completely different. I would suggest that you take a close look at yours and then find a source that replaces the entire fixture with a sealed led model. I gave up trying to seal our original marker lights. I also gave up on the original taillights as far as sealing them. Now I have complete LED taillights as well.

I did the sealed led thing too...but there's condensation in them sometimes too! Ugh.

Question: Are the Class C rigs also bothered by this issue?

Does your Class C have clearance lights on top of the RV? If so then probably yes.

Looking at pictures of your Outlaw on Thor's website: I'd say yeah.

You'll also want to pop the taillights off and seal up in there. I used Flex Seal:

Alright, I found them on eTrailer I think. Does anyone know what size or type I need to order? I believe it's the 59 series, but I want to be sure.

Here you go Bill. I have the exact same year 37tb. It's cheaper to order the mount and lense with bulb combo. I bought extra in case the lense flys off. Amber color click here. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LNDIAMI?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf

Thanks so much. I'm thinking about LEDs now. I wish I knew the size. I believe it's "59 series" But anyway, would you know if these fit?

It appears to be the same size. Order one and try it. If it all works please update us. Very curious now.

I ordered 5 amber clearance/marker lights from e-trailer. They are the upgrade kit, which I think means that you do not have to replace the housing, but only the lense. The upgrade/LED lense contains the LED lights. I'm not sure, but once I get them and try to install them this week I'll post and let everyone know.

Thanks for the help everyone!
