Master Power Switch
The master power switch inside the door of my 2019 Hurricane 29M quit working AGAIN. I had it replaced a month ago ($300). Light is on when on shore power but everything goes off and won't turn on activating the switch. How do I take the open the switch cover for inspection? Is it just pry off the outer plastic cover? I was told that the problem last time was that the switch was stuck "open" thereby draining ALL batteries. All batteries were replaced prior to switch replacement.

Are you sure that it’s not the solenoid that has failed?
The solenoid does all the work when the switch is activated.
My 2017 solenoid went out/failed. I thought it was the switch.
Check the solenoid to make sure it is working properly.

"Open" in electrical circuits means there is no path for current flow so that sentence makes no sense.
As Bob said, the switch does nothing but control a latching relay which connects/disconnects the house batteries to the DC buss - that's the "clunk" you hear when the switch changes the relay's state from open to closed of vice versa.
IF your house batteries are charged and IF the 50 amp DC breaker from the batteries to the latching relay is not tripped than the problems may be the latching relay itself, the actuating switch ($300 to replace a $10 switch?????), or there is a small (5 amp) inline fuse to the actuation coil on the latching relay that may be blown.

I agree with Tailorbob1 that is probably the latching relay (battery disconnect relay) and not the momentary switch (master power or use/store switch). The switch is fused with a five amp fuse across the battery side of the relay. If the switch is held down too long, the fuse blows rather than burning out the relay's coil. Your latching relay is under the bed next to the power center. Mine is in the upper, forward, corner of the bed frame. The original one in my coach failed during the PDI in the delivery barn at MHSRV. The replacement is still working well. Any RV parts place will have a suitable 50 amp replacement, RV upgrades, Anazon, Recpro, Camping World, etc.

Good point on checking the 5amp fuse in-line to the solenoid.
In my situation…
- the wall switch was fine
- the 5 amp fuse was fine
- the solenoid was bad
After I replaced the new $30 solenoid, I took apart the old solenoid.
It was corroded where the connection is made
That is, there’s a lot of electricity going thru there and when it connects it probably “sparks”, thus causing corrosion

Could it be 15 amp fuse. I am trying to also find my battery relay switch. If it is what I found by the batteries, it has inline 15 amp fuse going to it.
Thoughts
Thanks

Is it also the ISO Relay, or is that something different?
Thanks

Both 5 amp fuses on the solenoid are ok. The control panel says there are 13 volts in the house batteries. No clicking noise from the solenoid when the switch is pressed.

Use a voltmeter, go across the two small lugs of the relay. Operate the switch one way, meter should see 12 volts. Operate the switch the other way and you should see -12 volts
If you do the relay is bad.
If not the switch, fuse or wiring is bad.

Under your bed should look similar. The relay in question is in the upper corner of the bed surround. It is the black round object with a black sheathed and red #6 AWG cables. Note the small red wire with 5 amp fuse and fuse holder.

Here’s a good thread on similar USE/STORE switch & solenoid failure:
https://www.thorforums.com/forums/f8...ues-26728.html
Also, this is what a replacement solenoid looks like:

I’m not much help here with electrical issues but felt the need to say this is the way a thread should run. Great commits and helpful pictures .

I agree, not sure why people ask for help and never return and let everyone know how they used the offered wisdom and advice to resolve their issues.

Can you imagine if you took the front off of your electric service panel at your house and it looked like that pic??
