Max tpm tire pressure

I have a 2016 Tuscany 45AT which I run the front tires cold at 120psi. My other six tires go at 95psi. My question is when setting up my monitor what should I set max psi at hot tire to notify me on the monitor. I was changing batteries and lost my old hot tire psi recommendation.

Thanks for any input!

I use 20% high and 10% low from required cold pressure. You can easily expect a 10% increase just due to tires heating as they run. even more on hot roads in the summer.

Max tpm tire pressure

Thanks for your reply I will use the 20/10% as my benchmark. I know I have never gotten up to 144psi which is my 20% on the high end.

My TireMinder sets it automatically off what I set as the cold pressure.

As I recall the EEZtire had an preset setting for those parameters that could be changed. On my Itasca DP I set 100 in the front and would see mid 130s in the SW in the summer.

I went on the scales and was advised to use the pressures I am at. It has been fine for five years.

Loaded, my Coach weighs in at 41,000#. I run 120 steers and 100 drives and tag with high at 15% and low at 10%. I've never seen anything over 135 on the steers and 110 on the drives and tag. I don't care to see any lows over 5# down.

Have you CAT scaled your rig?

Are you sure about these pressure values? I never have seen such a large values. Is is from manufacture manual of door of your unit or it is the max allowed pressure on the side of tires? This must be like riding on steel rims

Yes at a Thor rally. It was suggested for me 120 up front 95 on all the others!

I learned the hard way when I bought my Palazzo. Previous owner told me it ran the smoothest at 95PSI in the front tires, so I bought his advice. Year and half later and 17K miles the front tires are showing serious underinflation wear. Need to be replaced early.

Run em all at 120PSI now. 95PSI is to low for ANY of these tires.

The Tuscany's are pretty heavy

I run 110 and it rides like a feather unless you hit the Volksewagon sized potholes

Should have added my sticker also calls for 110 all around but that is more than needed in the drive and tag

My coach is a bit lighter than the two mentioned on the steer axle as I don't have much in the front compartments

It's all relative to tire size and weight on the axle and tires. Running soft pressure to soften the ride is just plain stupid. No nice way to say it. Car tire pressures are often set by the manufactureur at the lower of acceptable pressure range to make a softer ride that many candy ass people want. Motorhome are on truck chassis, not Cadillac Coupe De Ville chassis

I based my tire pressure on actual weight of the coach. I weigh empty, if possible, so I can know how much each axle can take and if possible I get 1/2 on the scales so I can compute a close accounting of individual corner weights. Loaded for travel my Itasca Horizon DP was 700# heavier on right rear than left rear. Right front was 50# heavier than left. I based my tire pressure selection on heaviest hub rather than an average. As I recall I was running 110 in front and 90 in rear.

For the Omni I didn't get to the scales empty and I'm not going to empty it to get an UVW. I did weigh 90% of travel weight so I calculated weights estimating how much and where it would bee loaded for bear. 85 front, 100 in rear. I don't se the need or wisdom of adding 5psi for "safety factor" since I actually weigh and actually know what it weighs and what pressures I should run.

Knowledge is power, knowledge of weights gives me the information to safely run tires at best pressure. With the crossfire and a TPMS sensor on all tires I can keep track of tire pressures and drive with confidence.
