My suggestion to the OP... investigate flow issues, blocked screen, kinked flexible lines, etc
Expanding a little more...
Seems like most "no hot water" issues with tankless comes from lack of flow. While I understand that a certain volume of water must flow through the heat exchanger, this design presents problems for boondocking.
I don't know about how others conserve water when boondocking, but we RARELY leave a faucet on full blast for any length of time. Currently, we run the hot water into a pitcher until the water is hot, then pour the cold pitcher water into our Berkey filter.
Rinsing dishes only needs a trickle of hot water... which seems impossible with a tankless. We take navy showers, which is the only time the hot is on full blast. I installed a positive shut off in the shower... not one of those trickle jobs.
My point is in a boondocking water conservation situation, how do you effectively manage hot water if forced to run a tap at full volume? A great design for full hookup campgrounds and residential use... but I'm not sure about boondocking.
