Metal plates under sofa slideout

We were doing a little cleaning checking out our Vegas 24.1 before a trip.
the slide out holds our sofa bed and I noticed 2 long black steel plates about 24 inches long and 8 inches wide on the slide out floor under the bed.

Can I assume these plates house rollers of some sort that are part of the slide out? If so any routine maintenance required there? Would actually have to remove the sofa to get them out.

I now know what they are. They are the metal tracks that penetrate thru the bottom for the slide out to travel on. Don't know if there are rollers inside or another steel piece. At any rate I lubricated with the Teflon spay while the slide out was extended. Has made the movement much quieter.

They are the slide retention rails. They keep the slide with the coach in a rollover or side impact crash. Generally, the rollers are attached to the slide and roll on the coach floor for In-Wall slides.

I know the plates your talking about mine (35sk) are aluminum, and seem to have bent on one side. Of course Thor couldn't explain it. But they are there to take the weight off the slide when extending and retracting.
