Possible fuel system failure

94 pinnacle 32 ft. Problem started with Onan generator acting like it was running out of gas ( now not starting). Approximately 2 weeks later the 454 Chevrolet engine now won't start as well. ( the 454 always starts first crank ]. The 454 will run if i use quick start spray. But when the starter fluid is used up , the engine dies. To me it seems like possibly the same problem. Any thoughts on this before I start replacing everything ?? The gas Guage shows 1/4 tank.

At 1/4 tank your generator IS out of gas as the pickup is higher so the generator does not drain the tank. But you still have a fuel problem to troubleshoot with the engine. Fuel pump, fuel filter, faulty gauge indication.

Agree with ACE 1/4 tank not enough fuel to run the genny.
Google shows an in tank electric fuel pump on 1994 Chevy big block. If I were trying to diagnose, I would get a test light and check to see if you have power to the pump at the tank. If power is available then I would pull the gas line at the engine somewhere up by throttle body or multipoint injection (not sure which the truck is equipped with) and while someone cranks the engine check to see if you can get gas to shoot into a coffee can. No fuel at the engine would lead me to believe a pump failure.

I would add 5 gallons of fuel to make sure that your gage is not off. That is the simplest first step. If still no start, there is (or should be) a Shrader valve on the injection rail or central fuel unit at the engine. Push the needle and see if you get fuel. If you do, I suspect that you have bigger problems. So a scan tool and diagnostic plan would be next.
