Axis engine AC leak

My new-to-me 2015 24.1 (E350) apparently now has an engine AC leak. Refrigerant can be seen and my mechanic (not an RV mech) is pretty sure a hose needs to be replaced (he said the gaskets tend to wear out.) We’ve been unable to figure out the part number though, and calls to Ford have been useless. Talking to a Ford dealer has also been useless. Does anyone have any idea how to figure out the part number we need to order?

Decode the VIN to determine year and model. Go to Ford parts and pull up the appropriate diagram for the model and order the AC hose.

If I remember correctly you can enter the VIN on the Ford parts site and they will magically get the correct diagram.

With the exception of the interior duct hoses all others should be standard E series hoses.

Tell your mechanic to take a picture of the vin, then go to his favorite ford part supplier.
Tell the parts person he needs a (low/high side) ac hose for a 2014 or 2015 stripped chassis E350.
Don't say the magic word motorhome!

Order the part yourself and find a mechanic that knows what they are doing.

If a "gasket" has "worn out" (Didn't know gaskets were wear parts) why does the entire hose need to be replaced?

AFAIK AC systems use special o-ring type seals on the hose connections.

I checked the Ford website and the stripped chassis doesn't have factory air conditioning.

There is an "AC Prep" package optional. That is not a complete AC system.
