How do you attach things to the wall?
My command strips didn't hold up to the heat. What's the next best way to attach things, such as a clock, to the wall of a new RV? What kind of fasteners do you rivet if you go that route?

I have some command strips that have lasted for 5 years in our RV.
If its something heavier I'll usually drill a small hole and glue the screw in with some wood glue.

I tried the command strips they they failed on heavy objects so I now installed two small screws with double sided heavy duty tape on the back of the object. So far they are still on the wall.

Command Strips here, and they all have held up well! 
We prep the surface with rubbing alcohol before attaching them

Did the same!
If 2 command strips appeared to be able to hold the object I'd use 4, if the object was heavy add several. Worse case put a nail/screw in wall + the command strips.
Full-timed for 10+ years & never lost anything off the wall.

Mostly command strips, but for things like wall clocks I use screw in anchors and screws.

I use plastic drywall anchors where the walls are hollow, I have different sizes and get them at Lowes. If there is a wall stud I can use I predrill and use screws.

I've got the same problem in the desert. Glue failure might is likely heat related since (it appears to me) many of the people stating they have no issues do not experience a 110+ degree heat for extended periods of time. It's gets extremely hot (it's a dry heat lol) where I live and inside the coach probably reaches another 20+ degrees. I'll be looking at some of the stronger hook and loop products with better glue as mentioned here.

You have gotten lots of feedback...Command Strips have worked for us for many years. I always wipe the area with rubbing alcohol .. allow to dry...then attach the strip...have never had failure.

Pop Rivets
We have pop rivets holding towel racks and it works great. Certainly not temporary though.

Yep! I agree. I tried to hang a clock with a command hook. It wouldn’t hold. I gave up.
