RV Armor??

The Missus was reading the "Family Motor Coaching" magazine, and came across a product called "Auto Armor".
Has anybody used this product?
1. Is it any good?
2. How long should it last?
3. How expensive is it?
(Okay: the last one is probably the one that I'm MOST curious about! )

This stuff?

Looks like it would be expensive for all they do--especially for something as big as an RV.

Snake Oil, when I bought our RV the salesman sold us on a similar product that was suppose to protect the exterior and interior with a warranty for 5 years. Two years later the coach looked 10 plus years old with oxidation. Took it to the dealer and they did nothing and said I would have to call the company myself and they said I needed to get a quote from a licensed autobody repair shop and the girl on the phone had an attitude . I gave up and my son and I are buffing it out ourselves and adding a good sealer and wax. I like Griot's Garage line of products for use with a power buffer. I am also applying 303 Aircraft protectant to the top of the awning when it is retracted to help protect from UV. My detailer said he could do the RV for around $750 but I would rather do it myself. Good luck with what ever you choose. To answer your last question, the dealer charged me around a $1000.

Thanks for the warning... I can tell her that there are other products out there for a whole lot less money...

And our snake is squeaking anyway!

I use Zaino products on all my cars. I emailed them asking about using them on our MH. The owner himself replied recommending the All-in-one product. They all provide excellent UV protection and shine/bead water beautifully.

There are a few on the Redwood forums that have had it installed, 1 couple was so pleased that they've taken training & are now installers.
It's not snake oil as mentioned, but is a lifetime roof product, similar to the sprayed on truck bed liner, once installed NEVER worry about your rv roof again. It is expensive, based on linear footage, installed at your location & is a 2 step/2 day process. If you plan to keep your rv for a long time it's a great investment in the rv longevity.

Bob, don’t waste your time or money! Regular coats of good quality wax will be more cost effective in the long run and probably look better!

I think you are talking about a different product..yeah this one:
RV Armor - Welcome to RV Armor

Which is different from "Auto Armor" here:
https://pc.ecpinc.net/productsPrograms.asp?C1=3

I would suspect that the RV Armor is a really good product and the Auto Armor is pretty much a detailing service.

Thanks Jamie, I’m now looking into the RV Armor for my roof as a preventative measure.

Yep! Misread that! Yep! The Auto Armor IS snake oil, good wash & wax job occasionally will do the trick.

So if I'm understanding this correctly:
Auto Armor if the snake oil, and
RV Armor is the real deal!

I looked into RV Armor Roofing System for our 2014 ACE, and recently decided to bite the bullet and purchased same. I watched the entire application process and it seemed to be as advertised. End result looks good -- lifetime warranty - paid $3,725 for 30' coach.

Smile RV Armor an excellent roof!

I also found RV Armor to be a really good process to having a leakproof roof. I'm in New Mexico and the Guys from RV Armor were here for 7 days because we had some rain but, they got the roof done, Nice looking job plus it has a lifetime warranty attached to the VIN # so it can be transferred.
