Name this Box

While I was fixing my transfer switch meltdown, I spotted this device. I didn't see any numbers or label. Anyone recognise it. It has a 5 amp fuse in a holder.

Thanks, I will do some checking. I have another type of relay in the battery compartment. I was thinking that it was the use/store relay.

My engine is not charging the coach batteries, so I was hoping to see if this was involved in that problem.

Is your generator charging the house batteries or shore power?

Yes it does. Shore power or generator will charge the house batteries only.
Engine charges the coach battery only.

If all your other systems are working as they should on shore power, generator or house batteries if they are fully charged, then you probably have a problem with your BIRD or Trombetta or similar system. See the below link to Ed Felkers Axis/Vegas manual many if the systems on the ACE are the same or very similar to the Axis/Vegas.

http://www.thorforums.com/forums/f10...nual-4961.html

Page 50 and 53-4 discuss the charging system and how it works. (Page #s could be slightly different if I do not have the most recent edition) The one in my Axis was wired incorrectly from the factory so shore power/generator did not charge the engine batteries. Others have had similar problems, usually traced to a bad or incorrectly wired BIRD.

Sorry, that link is no longer the good one. This one works.

Thanks again to Ed Felker, for the great work putting this together and keeping it current.
