Need to replace exterior TV

Our outside TV somehow got a chip on the screen and needs to be replaced. It's an el cheapo Seiki SE32HY.

Can I just put in any 32" TV? Or are there TVs made specifically for the shaking that they'll have to endure?

Also - it's held onto the mounting panel with 4 screws as shown in the picture. I don't recall seeing these holes on any other TVs.

Perhaps a trip to Best Buy is in order?

screw holes don't match

I've looked at a couple of TVs online. The 4 screw holes on my Seiki are in a 8" by 4" rectangle. The ones on the backs of the TVs online look to be in a square rather than a rectangle.

Anyone have a model that has 8" by 4" configuration?

we replaced our toshiba BIG asssz 43 with a vizio 40. rear mount holes are standardized, some of the bigger ones have the wider hole pattern. easy to modify your mount to accept the difference. we also added a few swim noodles in the outer back side to limit wiggle as we roll down the road

iirc we got the vizio at wally world. but i looked online at all the manufacturers to get accurate measurements, then shopped around until i found the model that worked

The mounting plate for my outside TV has a “shitton” of holes for different tv mounting. The important thing is the height and width of the TV. But I went with an Insignia Fire ready smart TV. If I can’t pick up WiFi my phones hotspot works great for Sling, Netflix, Disney+ and Prime. That 32” was about $139 at BestBuy

Consider it a blessing in disguise. Agree with the smart TV and noodle padding. You won't miss the Sucky TV.

Our outside TV crapped out and I just bought amazon ready tv and replaced. Was Real easy and cheap. Worked for 1.5 years while we owned that rig.
