Need tips on chassis battery change

It's time to replace the chassis battery in our Windsport 27K. I've searched the forum and can't seem to find a list of what to do and what NOT to do! For starters I plan to disconnect the shore power, switch the coach to Store mode, and open the 100 amp breaker on the coach batteries. I will then disconnect the negative/ground cable from the chassis battery, followed by the positive cable. After physically switching batteries I plan to install the positive cable first and then the ground, After which I will activate the coach batteries and switch out of Store mode.

Did I miss anything or am I doing something wrong??? All advice will be appreciated! I'm hoping the hardest part of this job is going to be getting the old battery out and the new one in place.

Looks like you have a good handle on it but due to the repeated requests for help after battery change outs I would add:

Label each cable going to both the positive and negative posts.

Take some pictures before disconnecting so there is NO chance of an incorrect or missing reconnection.

I agree: label your cables, and take lots of pictures.
Good luck!
