New Coach Sawdust??? Uggg
Everytime I run the heater, the vents and everything around them have sawdust. I know that it is from the manufacture, but after every drive, then running heat, and new crop appears. It also makes me cough during the night. So how much longer until it all shakes out? Is there an area where it might be accumulated that can be cleaned?
I've now put about 20 nights on it.

YEP
I opened everything... doors, windows took the screens off, couch and any closet/cabinet that needed it!!!
Got my yard mask on, started the leaf blower and carefully worked my way thru the mh.
Not forgetting to blow behind TVs, chairs under the bed and dash.
Blowing into the ac vents made it look like snow, that was a pain getting it out thought dw was going to when I told her.
BUT now after a quick sweep and dusting she's a happy camper

An electric, or battery operated leaf blower would be preferable: no exhaust fumes!

Half dozen uses of heater and air conditioning should clean it out .

Our Georgetown was like that, which told us that the delivering dealer never bothered to do a PDI. We had it on 3 trips and the stuff never stopped flying. Traded it in for the Aria....

After 4 weeks and 9k miles the saw dust is finally gone in our XG32. I did pull out all the drawers and pulled off access panels to vacuum out all the dust and debris, which helps a lot. Dont forget to lift the bed and get under there also, make sure you are not connected to shore power, battery switch disconnected and the generator is off.
Another thing to check. Pull off the panel to access the heater, it's under the closet a lot of debris in that area, but check hoses going to the ducts, I had one come off which made the clothes toasty warm, I purchased hose clamps and put on all 4 so they would not come off again.

Yup same here on my XG32. I got out the shop vac and hit everywhere possible, seems to be a lot better. Only a little comes out now when heat turns on.

Welcome to the manufacturing process of motor homes and campers! The manufacturer builds them doesn’t mean they clean them! The best part is when you spend thousands $$$$ of dollars and the dealer doesn’t even clean them!! ie: CW is the worst

Yeah... LOL! Everytime I open up a panel or someplace not open to general use I too find the sawdust!! Guess they just don't take the time to clean-up after the installation of anything!!

Absolutely the norm with a new RV, although it shouldn't be normal. We picked up our new motorhome this summer. The first few trips and using the AC it looked like it was snowing inside (Styrofoam pebbles).
It gave a new meaning to "Christmas in July". It is beyond me why Thor just carves out the roof insulation instead of installing true air channels for the ducted AC system. My 2011 Itasca Reyo had real channels.

It is not just motor homes. Fifth wheel and standard trailers as well. Don't ask me why I know. The electric blower works well.

I got out the shop vac and cleaned all the debris up. Manufacturers and dealers never do a thorough cleaning.

Sawdust
Recently finished a mod to get the flex out of the shower pan on our 29M. Here is a shot of what it looked like under the pan. How hard would it be to just vacuum it up before you sealed it up.

The good news is after about 7400 miles of driving, saw dust will stop falling out of the walls and styrofoam will stop coming out of the A/C vents.
My Outlaw used to rain saw dust and styrofoam during every trip. When I bought my Magnitude I opened every area that I could and hit it with a shop vac.
I took off all of the A/C vents, trimmed the styrofoam insulation for better airflow and got my shop back in the duct work to such out the loose pieces from manufacturing.
When I installed my hardwired EMS right after buying the coach, when I took off the cover for the transfer switch I found a bunch of saw dust AND three large screws from manufacturing rolling around in it. Just what you want with 110V they can come in contact with when driving around.

If sawdust is your biggest problem you should be happy and thankful rather than complaining about it!

In a perfect world you are correct! But as we have all just seen this world is not perfect!!
With that said, after purchasing a $30,000 travel trailer and finding it full of sawdust, metal shavings, chunks of wood screws among other things. And then a $80,000 motor home only to find the same thing plus broken cabinets, a refrigerator and water heater that quit working on the first trip?? You would think all the companies would set their standards just a touch higher than “F**K It” ya can’t see it once it leaves the factory!! Just my opinion....
