New help in getting switch

I am having trouble finding a switch for my coach....Hurricane 2006 F53 chassis. There are two switches that say ceiling light one at the steps coming into the coach. I use this one now to turn off and on the ceiling lights. The other switch is back midship of the coach on the big panel. Turning it on or off does nothing.
There are three wires coming into this switch. I assume it has two switches so you can turn the lights off/on at front of coach or at the rear.

I contacted my thor dealer and he said cannot locate any. It is clearly a McGill switch p/n 0862-0164. But still can't source one.

1st question, how do you test a switch?

Middle lug on both sides is common to the lugs above and below the other put ohmmeter from center lug to above lug should read zero one way and infinity the other way. If you have an electronics supply house in your area the will test it and get you a replacement switch

It's a simple DPDT switch. Amazon has dozens of them.

DPDT = double pole double throw Some may not be familiar with the abbreviation

Can I ask, why do you need another switch?

Have you used your multimeter and done a simple continuity "beep" test on your existing switch? Basic troubleshooting... work backwards from the switch to the power source. Don't start buying parts you may not need until you diagnose the root cause of the problem!

But you have 6 connections on that switch. Maybe they only used 1 pole of the switch.
