No or Low Manufacturer support - Atwood/Dometic and HWH
Do others have this issue??
I called Atwood, now Dometic to get help with a problem with one of their furnaces on my Vegas. The answer I got both from their technical support phone line and web request was:
"Dometic does not have a consumer technical support department. All technical support is provided by the authorized service centers and/or dealers. "
For HWH, 3 weeks ago, I called HWH on a question about my levelers. I was told that their service rep would call me back in 2-3 weeks. Now they actually did call back and were very nice, When I asked why I was told that don't have enough competent people on tech support as it takes so long to train them.
Are others having this issue?? As a retired engineer, I trust myself for most issues much more than CW. (Not to mention the inconvenience)
