No over-the-air channels

Hi,
Lost ability to get channels on both tvs while other close rvs didn't have any problems.
The stock antenna is mounted and wasn't damaged.
Winegard is on, booster is on... Any other ideas?
Thanks.

Check antenna connections on the roof and behind the wall plate.
Check that power is actually getting to the Winegard.

In my Axis I had to search for the local channels every time I moved. There is a search function on the TV.

Loss of signal can be caused by loose connectors, damaged and kinked cable(s). I had found one by disconnecting each cable and looking at it on end. The center conductor was still in the mating connector. It had snapped off. This is caused by getting scored when stripping improperly. Another thing to look for is the outer shield strands not being near the center conductor. I have found some almost shorting to the center conductor. That and kinked cables change the impedance of the cable. This sets off a reflection of the input signal that cancels some up to all of the input signal. Push the shield strands away form the center conductor to the outside of the connector. You can also have a bad 75 ohm signal splitter as well.

Do you get cable through that connection? Maybe try attaching a portable over the air antenna to that connection and see id that works. I have not been thrilled with he Connect2 that came on our Aria. Seems all it does effectively is charge too much for data.

It’s also possible that the connector that attaches to the antenna has come loose. One end is usually coaxial cable that connects to the TV’s. The other end is a small female plug that fits into an adaptor on the antenna (think headphone Jack).

We had ours come loose due to very rough roads. It was a fairly simple job for the shop to pull the antenna and reconnect everything (under warranty work).

No over the air channels

I had a problem with my TV reception a couple of years ago. Turned out to be a bad booster. Replaced it and all was fine.
Most of the problems stem from the connectors, though.

Have your multiplex switches set properly for inputs and outputs?

Thanks for everyone's help. I'm thinking it's the stock antenna/booster. At home i get so many channels but when I'm in a very rural area i don't get anything.
Thanks again.

That's why I added a separate antennae on a flag pole buddy. These low profile jobbers on new RVs are terrible in rural areas. On my Hurricane, the A/Cs are taller and block signals.

You didn't state what Year/Make/Model RV you have or what antenna you have so you got shotgun answers.

You said you turned the booster on. How do you know it's on? Does it have an LED power indicator?

Did you scan for channels on the TVs and select OTA input on the TVs?

If you determine you have a bad antenna/booster (the antenna actually has the booster built-in, what most call the "booster" with the power button is just a power injector to provide 12 VDC to the booster in the antenna), the best replacement is the Winegard RVW-395 Sensar IV White DTV/HD TV Antenna:

https://www.amazon.com/Winegard-8551.../dp/B003VAZ6OG

If you already have one and just need to replace the head unit that is available as well for a cheaper price

I kind of had the same issue. At home I get OTA channels well and most times I stream data, but once while I was tailgating in Memphis TN at the Liberty Bowl with no wifi I struggled to get ABC, Fox, CBS & NBC etc and others were getting it.

I have a basic Omni directional stock OEM King antenna made just for the RV Mfg on the roof. Tried calling King and we played phone tag for two weeks so I bought the King OmniGo Portable just to see if I noticed a difference https://kingconnect.com/king-omnigo-...-hdtv-antenna/ and put it on the roof and picked up 3 times more channels 120+ vs 30 something. I eventually got King Suport on the phone and were verified everything t the Antenna head including voltage, and then they came clean by telling me I simply had the low end King antenna They stated versus fooling with trying to get better results from the OEM stock antenna, they pointed me to the King OmniPro https://kingconnect.com/king-omnipro...-hdtv-antenna/ saying if I liked the portable OmniGo the Omni Pro would be the best. I have the OmniPro but have not had it installed yet. Basically I wanted to get the best Omni Directional I could find; I know I have done that with the OmniGo Portable it is really slick, I hope I can confirm that he OmniPro get better results, from the size of the Antenna head, I am very hopeful.

Note: If you shop around you can beat those listed prices.
