No Shore Power

Seems like we always get something that does not want to work prior to our trips.

We have a 2012 Tuscany 42FK Where we store it does not have 50 amp. We have the 30 amp converter that plugs into 120, and we use a surge protector too.

We brought it out of storage today and plugged it into the 50 amp we have in our business shop. My control panel inside says No Power source,(usually says 50 amp service) when plugged in. My charger shows bulk charging. I have checked all the breaker boxes inside and in our shop , they all are okay When plugged in the surge protector shows there is power at the plug. I have checked the GFCI switch in the bathroom.

What am I missing? TIA

If the pedestal is supply power (checked with voltmeter), then it is probably a power cord problem. The easiest you to check is to start the generator and if power comes on, you know the problem is between the pedestal and the auto transfer switch. Power reels are known to cause problems as they age and are not used for a while.

How can your charger be "bulk charging" when you have no 120/240 VAC input?

Good luck! I hope that you can find the source of the problem quickly!

check the 50 amp outlet with a volt meter or some working piece of equipment.

probably 1/2 of your 50amp 240v outlet is lost, meaning that the power coming in is not from both of the hot wires, but only from one, giving 1/2 of your coach power, and none to the other 1/2

either the shore outlet, or the shore breaker, may have a loose wire

if not, it could be your ATS(auto transfer switch), with a loose wire

or

if not, it could be your own Main Panel's 50amp double-pole breaker, with a loose wire
