Recently I've noticed some noise but I've attributed that to all the stuff in the overhead cabinets in the slide.

Hi Jamie
I thought also that it could be possible, but after checking it's really coming from the slide-out itself, metal noise.

One thing to check is the overhead bunk. We have one and while traveling it will gradually settle down onto the transport pins at which time it starts making rattling and squeaking noises. It is very easy to eliminate this as a possibility, the next time you start hearing the noise just pull over and raise the bunk back up all the way so it is not resting on the transport pins. If the noise is gone then you have found the source.
