Gen start from dash. 2017 Miramar

I have a newbe question. I can start my generator from all the starting positions, dash, panel and at the unit itself.

My question, the gen start on the dash works great except I can’t turn it off from that location.

Thoughts

Are you sure you are pushing the right end of the button? On my Axis it is a double throw momentary contact switch. Push one end and it primes. Push the other end and it starts. I think you have to push the prime end to stop.

Generator starts, but does not power anything

When I start the generator on my 2013 Thor Hurricane, the light on the switch keeps blinking. I have no power even though it is running. The 50 amp and 30 amp breakers on the gen are not tripped. I have reset them…twice. Any help would be appreciated.

The blinking light is error codes. Count the flashes between the pause, then in your manual look up the error code.

That's only true on automatic shutdowns. It's normal for the light to blink while the generator is running.

On my Challenger the light never blinked when the Generator was running. It blinked as I was holding the button in the prime position until it was fully primed and it blinked for faults. When running the light was on and solid.

I did not notice any pause while flashing. Just steady slow flashing. I guess that is error code one. When the gen is running correctly the light stays on. It only blinks while priming it.
