Outdoor propane line not working

We have a 2016 ACE 29.3, new to us, and just tried to hook our grill up to the propane line by the outdoor kitchen for the first time. Nothing on either of our gas cookers with the valve either in the open or closed positions. What are we missing?

That is a regulated low pressure propane connection. It must be used with appliances that do not have a regulator. So if your appliance uses the 1 Lb propane cylinders it will not work without modifying it to remove the regulator.

What sort of grill are we talking about?
Ted is right, when he says that a grille with a regulator on it will not work.
I bought a Blackstone Griddle, and converted it to work with the pre-regulated outlet on my RV. I removed the regulator (Actually: I never installed it!), and put a quick disconnect adapter in it's place.
The hose attaches to the outlet on the RV, and then to the adapter (The right angle "thingie") on the grill.

If you are trying to use the Aussie grill that came with the coach when new you will have to open 3 valves. First open the tank valve. Second open the valve at the quick connect for the coach. Third open the valve at the quick connect for the grill.

If you are using something else, as others have stated you have to remove the appliance's regulator since the LP at the coach quick connect is already low pressure.
