Outdoor TV Door is Stuck!

We cannot get our outdoor TV door to open. It unlocks easily, but it will not raise up. It seems to be stuck. We tried putting a lubricant in the cracks around the opening but that didn't work. We have opened it before but it's been several months.
Thanks!!!

Sometimes I give mine a light “fonzie” hit with my palm. I think the gasket sticks to the door.

If you have one of these paint can openers laying around, the lip on the end may be just enough to help you pull it open.

Very true! A good old "Chuck Norris" smack may do it. I use this lubricant for that seal and all the others...doors, storage bays, driver and passenger doors seals, rubber gaskets behind the windows...everything. It keeps them from sticking, protects them from drying out and adds an extra layer of sealant. Rub a little bit with a cloth on the mating surface as well as the rubber gaskets.

Welcome to the Forum!
Don't you have the keyed lock, and the two latches that need to be twisted, in order to open it up?
