Outlaw 29h...rear awing not high enough..

Seems my stabilizer arms are not long enough to fully extend my awing..am I missing something...when fully extended the awing Is only about 5' high at the end of the deck...looks like arms are fully extended...

Stabilizer arm on rear awning

On my 17 outlaw 29h, the rear stabilizer arm has two adjustments in length. On section of the arm has a small button that when depressed allows the bottom section to slide out until the button locks in the extended position. The top section has a lever lock that allows the upper part of the arm to further extend. The typical setup is to extend the bottom section fully, attach to the motorhome back wall bracket, then set the awning height with the top section locking the lever at the desired height. Hope this helps.

Thanks...it was late when set up last night and there is no useful documentation that came with this new RV. I will try again this am to extend those arms. Again thank you!

Google the make & model of your awning & you'll find all sorts of information.

Most of the manuals that are supplied with any rv are very generic, one size fits all type manuals.

It's the end that gets clipped to the back of the rig. Extend it out, and one of those little buttons pops out, and locks it in place.
You then use the orange locking mechanism at the other end to set your height!

Congrats!

As part of my "Oh Crap!" list for the dealership: the brackets on the rig that those arms mount in, were mounted upside down!

Ha ha...the same thing here Bob....that's why I couldn't check the arms before I left the lot..they changed the upside down brackets literally as we were leaving...didn't find out about the arms until deployed the canopy this week end in the dark...
