Outlaw 38RE front toilet clog
Anyone having issues with the front toilet getting clogged often? Only four days since we took delivery and have had 4 clogs that requires a snake to unclog. Using RV toilet paper, never had this issue in other class A's.

Is the clog between the toilet and tank, or between the tank and dump valve?
If the latter, are you leaving the dump valve closed until the tank is full (assuming you are in a full-hookup situation)?

The clog is between the toilet and the tank. I always leave valve claws until I dump.

Is the distance between the toilet and tank very far?
The further it is away, the more rinse you will need.

That might be the issue. The toilet is on the opposite side of the tank. Maybe not using enough water to rinse everything down to the tank. Thanks for the reply!

When we had a boat, we had to use 1~2 gallons per flush as the sewer line hoses they use are not like the rigid black plastic pipe in RVs.
Boats use flexible clear plastic, and susceptible to permeation. And they were somewhat horizontal runs, so it took a gallon or two of water to ensure the hoses were clean, otherwise the stink would migrate through the hose.
I am thinking then that while the black plastic pipe in a RV won't permeate, it probably does take more flush water when there is a somewhat horizontal run.
Of course, this means less flushes per dump out, but if you are at a full hookup, it's not much of a problem. Boondocking though might be a concern. If you have two toilets, you will probably want to restrict use to the most direct plumbed toilet during boondocking.

We have the exact same issue. Typically have to use a plunger 4 to 5 days a week. When I complained to the dealer, I was told that it was because the pipe from the main bathroom toilet to the black water tank was at an angle and it has a higher likelihood of clogging. Seems like a known design flaw.

You might want to add a rinse nozzle to your toilet, (if it didn't come with one). There is usually a pre-plumbed connection that is capped off for this purpose on RV toilets.
Or, you can carefully manually hold down the flush lever with your foot or hand to fill the bowl with water, (without opening the flush valve), a few times to help it flush more thoroughly.

We have a pre-rinse valve that allows the bowl to fill before use. When flushing liquids, we obviously have no issue. When disposing of larger solids is when the clogs typically occur. We have tried pre-flushing to wet the sloped pipe, but nothing works very well. We have to use the 1/2 bath in the back of the coach when needing to deposit solids (because it has a straight vertical connection to its own black water tank and doesn't clog).

We have a 34E Hurricane with a bath & 1/2 and the front one does get clogged, I just use a pole to push it down and then flush more water in.

We have the same problem with our 2018 windsport 35m. I agree it seems like a design problem. Ideas on solutions?

I have no plumbing issues but, for the most part, we try to only use one toilet for "black" water since neither of them ever fill completely. I can bleed the grey tank over into the front black from outside if it ever got full prematurely.

We fill the bowl with water about 1/2 gallon prior to flushing and then again after flushing. We also add Calgon to the front toilet to make it slippery underneath as it is on the opposite side from the dump valve and has a narrow shelf under the toilet for collecting whatever comes down. Then hopefully gravity takes over.
Seems to be working since we started full timing (almost a year now.)
