Question Outside kitchen mascerator pump

While winterizing I poured the pink rv antifreeze into the outside sink and ran the mascerator to drain it. Motor runs; antifreeze doesn’t drain.

I hate the idea of disassembling the drain system and getting a pink mess in the compartment. Anybody have a better idea?

Did you have any issues with the macerator clearing your outdoor sink during the camping season? Does the macerator remove the pink but it comes back into the sink again? Good 12 volt system or on shore power to ensure macerator is running full speed? Possible inlet plugged with debris on macerator?

Failing all else there is always the wife’s turkey baster.

It has been working, but there is some backflow when traveling. I took the backflow preventer device out a while back and found the membrane turned inside out. Fixed that. I am thinking that I will get a new, clean plumbing plunger and try to force the antifreeze through. Then I can wait for warm weather to take the whole thing apart.

Every trip in this RV brings a new adventure when we get home. 2 more years and I should be qualified as a Certified RV Technician.

I got a mini plunger for $2.98 at Home Depot and was able to clear the sink. Now I can wait for warmer weather to disassemble the whole drain system and find the obstruction.
