All the Thor MC front bunks move down while traveling unless the locking pins are installed.

This happens as I am dropping the bunk, left side seems to fall almost as the right side comes down under control. Eventually the bunk stops as it's offset is so far off.

That would depend of which type of overhead bunk you have. Ours folds and is held up by magnets; there are no locking pins.

This bunk has the pins which we use when the bunk is in the stow position. The unit is a Schwintek, Lippert Controls.

Sounds like you have a drivers side slide motor problem. Have you tried the resync procedure? If that doesn’t work, You may have a bad motor or wire disconnect to that motor.

Everyhing is online. I searched and printed all the specific operating manuals and keep in RV. The Thor manual is generic and may not cover every section in detail. Also Mr. Felkers manual is in there. There is a big sticker with list of items and serial numbers in RV closet.

I will not mention binders/folders.

Search for schwintec in YouTube and there are a bunch of great videos. This is the one that directly addresses what could be your problem. Once you get it in sync, remember to never extend or retract it part way and to continue to press the button for 3-5 seconds until you hear the motors completely stop.

I think that the ACE may be the only (could be wrong) coach that uses a different front bunk drop system, but they still use the schwintek controller and motors I think. Pretty sure my controller is on the passenger side near the ceiling, but I don't see an easy panel removal to access it. There are panels on the front ceiling corners that give access to the motors and bed drop mechanisms. Don't use the front bunk anyway.

I have resynced mine several times, and the passenger side still works down some. Think the motor may need to be replaced?

You might try disconnecting the passenger side motor from the controller to see if the drivers side motor is working at all. Also check to see if the wires are connected to the motor at both the motor and controller ends, These RVs shake rattle and roll down the road and sometimes things shake loose.
