Can you post a picture. I have a 14-15 Ace full body paint. I have all the touch up bottles so they should have the codes.

This is what I have. I’m pretty sure it would be the one labeled primary color. The paint brand is Sikkens. Color code is 77347-191.

Paint Codes for Thor ACE

Did you ever find the paint code for the 2014 Thor ACE?
Please provide paint code.

My Thor Ace appears to be the same tan color as yours pictured.

I have a scratch gouge crack on front bumper on my 2014 27.1 Thor ACE. See pictures.

Is the front panel colored fiberglass, colored gelcoat or painted fiberglass.?

How to repair?

Wow that looks worse than the dimple we got on our Axis:

The guys that repaired ours said the coach is colored gelcoat and that it is a pain to match so they suggested matching the repair to one of the stripes (they used the dark stripe on our Axis):

(Yeah it isn't obvious: The two teardrops where the fog lights are on the bottom of the bumper: The blister was in the passenger side one, but when they painted they did both so they would match.)

Your best bet to get the color code is to simply call Thor with your VIN. You may find, however, that that color doesn't match (due to weather, sun fading, etc.).

Just what you see here. The dealer had to fix a blemish near the grill from the grill screws. They did a good job. But, I have never gotten a color code that I could verify. Just what you see here. If you find one please post it. Calling Thor with your vin seems to be a good idea.

Ron during lunch hour Indiana from Thor Service after looking for 15 minutes says it is colored gelcoat over Epoxy fiberglass.

Code he gave me: Lamoyne 417 Sikkens after I gave him my vin. But he had to search and search and search and put me on hold. He was the lunch hr service man.

I asked him 4 times if he was absolutely sure it was gel coat over EPOXY fiberglass and not paint or polyester fiberglass.

He said he was sure it was gel coat over EPOXY fiberglass.

He said they buy the fiberglass panels already gel coated and he doesn’t know where they come from.

I would like to get confirmation on all of this but not sure how to do it.

Mine is a beige color with orange, grey burgundy and white vinyl. 2014 27.1 Thor Ace

Sikkens is German I believe and their is paint codes for cars online but not for RV’s.

Any help for repairing beige fiberglass appreciated. Makes a difference if Epoxy or polyester fiberglass in repair.

Paint codes for Thor Ace

Ron at Thor advised me my 2014 27.1 Thor Ace was gel coated epoxy fiberglass. Local very experienced boat shop manager said if it is Gel coated it can’t be Epoxy fiberglass it is polyester fiberglass.

I added 4 layers of matting using polyester resin to back side and it took well and hardened. I then broke off the thumb size cracked chip off crack on outside and sanded down with 220 grit to the wide T shape shown in picture. I may have sanded down to new fiberglass on inside but not sure.

After adding the resin and matting on backside the light didn’t shine through. After I sanded down the crack the light shown through again.

See picture of sanded crack area on outside. My plan is to add 2 or 3 of increasing sized polyester resin matting to crack area on outside.

Then sand down and clean and fill back to normal shape with Evercoat 27 filler.

Then sand prime and paint.

Don’t know how to get paint code or paint from Sikkens so maybe send gelcoated chip to paint company to match beige gelcoat. Not absolutely sure if it is gelcoat or paint on front panel.

I can add a little brown pigment to the Evercoat 27 along with the white hardener that comes with it to attempt beige color, but unlikely to match.

Any suggestions on how to proceed with sanded T fiberglass depression is appreciated. Or suggestion on getting matching beige paint would also be appreciated.

The fiberglass front panel appears to be only .100 inch or so thick in areas of crack. No steel front bumper seen underneath.

John

Sikkens code to PPG

Can anyone tell me how to cross reference a sikkens code to a ppg code? I have already asked my paint supply store and they could not help.
