Vent Cover

Greetings,
I visit sometimes and read post. This time I have a question. In my 2018 Keystone Toy Hauler there is an MAXXAIR in ceiling. I have been wanting to install a Vent Cover over it so I can still use fan in the rain. The unit has a wall mount control. When lid is open, the lid is 14 inches above roof line. Most vent covers I look at are only 10 to 12 inches high. This creates the problem of putting electric drive opener in bind and will for sure break the plastic parts. Where can I find a vent cover that is at least 14" high? I live just north of Elkhart Ind. (RV Capitol). I even traveled to several of RV vendors with no success. Maybe my only option is to find means to reduce travel of existing lid.
Any ideas? Thanks for any input.

Why not call MAXXAIR, and ask them for a suggestion?
Perhaps there is a way to limit how high it raises the lid.
Good luck!

Buy the MaxxAir cover, the lid will open til it contacts the cover then stops, press close & it closes. No you won't get the full 14" opening but there's no adjustment needed, it'll work just fine. Had them on every rv I've owned.

yes, Max air makes very good vent covers. My vent are open 24/7 unless the air is on. Amazon is your friend.
