Question AXIS 24.1 Slideout seal replacement

Slideout seal is dry-rotted/cracked. Anybody out there replaced one; they have pop-rivets: UG!

Rivets remove almost as fast as screws.
Use a (probably) 1/8th inch drill.
Screw heads tend to strip out, a drill in a rivet is a definite.

Rivets replace almost as fast as screws with no stripping or working loose or going in at an angle.

I've not replaced one on a 24.1 but I've redone a mile(or a LOT less) or so of them in my life.

Talking AXIS 24.1 slide out seals replacement

The rivets at the leading/trailing edge of the AXIS 24.1 slide out fasten the slide out frame to the coach body. They do not need to be drilled out to remove/replace the seals; they are simple held by an adhesive strip:
- Pull them off
- Clean the gluing surface
- Stick the new seal in place
- re-caulk the leading edge of the seal against wind-driven rain.

The actual seal <remove/clean/replace/caulk> took a day to do both the seals.

Suggest: DO NOT drill the rivets out on the AXIS 24.1, 'cause you'll just have to put new ones back in to keep the unit attached to the coach.
