plasti-dip

I was poking around on the net the other other day looking at this stuff and flexseal liquid as possible electric insulating coatings for reducing galvanic corrosion between stainless steel and aluminum parts of a solar panel mount....
and I cam across a bunch of info on folks spraying plastidip to paint their cars, motorcycles, etc...

I had no idea that this was a "thing"!

Really set me to thinking about a DIY coating job to refinish my shotty looking faded RV...especially the front nose cone...although I'm not sure I'd do plasti-dip though.... maybe a good glossy elastomeric stucco paint or something like that.... couldn't look much worse than it does now! ha ha

Anyway, I just thought it was funny.....
have any of you done the plastidip on anything?

The good thing with plastidip is that you can just peel it off when you don't want it anymore.

Another option is to use spray on bedliner stuff to cover the front of the RV (some of it can be color matched).

Plasti Dip is Awesome stuff! You can get it in gloss, and even color shift pearls. There are all kinds of colors and options with Plasti Dip. Just remember if you use Plasti Dip you have to spray it correctly and thick. If you don’t put enough coats on it is a major pain to get off. There are all kinds of helpful tutorials on YouTube, just check out the Dip Your Car channel.

Great for de-chroming, and dressing up bits and pieces. FYI also heat resistant, so can clean up exhaust pipe tips.
