Please help

We have been working for several hours on trying to pit antifreeze in our Thor Sequence Class B camper van. We have to finish it up today & tomor. We have printed out the "schematics" but we must be missing something because we can't pump the fluid in. If someone w/ a 20K ( ours is a Thor Sequence 20K would email/ call me, I would be very appreciative!
Thanks!

I don’t have that unit, but have a read of this thread and see if it helps.

I don't have or know about a Thor Sequence Class B camper van, but if you are under duress due to pending weather; consider a full drain of everything followed by a blowout of compressed air (40 psi). Then pour the a cup of RV antifreeze in the P traps and you should be good to go for the winterization period or until you figure out how to get the RV antifreeze to fill fresh water line.

In my case; I never pump the RV Antifreeze although it is option. I would think the process would be the same on any RV.

There is a valve on the suction side of water pump, it's current position will allow it to pull water from fresh water tank, but if you turn the valve normally 1/4 turn so it is across the hose line, it will allow the suction to pull from the tube that you drop in the 1 gallon RV antifreeze bucket.

Good luck

Thank you for your advice. We will try this. It is so frustrating as our layout is different from the picture .

If you are trying to pump it in manually, you have to open a faucet first, then pump it in. Once you see the pink stuff, turn that faucet off and move to the next fixture.

We tried this & can't get the antifreeze to go up to either the kitchen faucet, the shower OR the bathroom sink. There is something we just aren't doing correctly...but we can't figure it out..

Where are you pumping the antifreeze in? Should be the city water connection.

Can you post a photo of your pump and surrounding lines? It may show us something that could help.

I'm with dkoldman..... With the coaches I've owned, there was always a valve next to the water pump with a T-fitting and piece of pex with a cap. I remove the cap from the pex and then thread in a fitting connected to a piece of hose that goes into the gallon jug of RV antifreeze. I then turn the valve and turn on the water pump. Then start opening the hot and cold for each faucet plus the toilet until pink is flowing.

Have you tried raising the container of fluid to or above the level of the inlet?

Go to google and type in 2021 Thor Sequence 20k winterizing kit. Go down the page and there is a complete Thor video on how to winterize and pump in the antifreeze. They show you step by step which valves to open and how to pump in the antifreeze.

Good luck
Paul

That information is incorrect. The city water connection is on the discharge side of the pump. You need to connect to the suction side of the pump. Find your pump and locate the antifreeze suction connection and plug. remove the plug and connect your anti-freeze rig there.

Thank you for sending this. Paul will look for this in the morning when it's light out. Paul thinks he remembers that next to the water tank, there is a shut off valve in the line leaving the tank. In the line just beyond the valve - there is about a 6" high winterization tube. Is this where we are supposed to be adding the antifreeze? Thx again for all the help..
