Propane fill level question?

I think my book says never go past 80%.
When filled control panel shows 3/4 full.
Is that normal?

Yes, 80% of absolute capacity is the normal limit. Often you can adjust the transmitter at the propane tank to adjust the display to read full at the current level.

When filled at 80% my control panel shows full (it’s not a digital display, but idiot lights).

That said, it doesn’t stay full for long
Mine stays at 2/3 for a long while

Also, one time after a full it went to 2/3 almost immediately
So I chalked that one up to a bad fill (under 80%)

I never trust the idiot lights. If I want to know what the actual propane level is I go outside and look at the level gauge.
