Proper Procedure

We own a 2015 DRV 38RSSA. We have parked before for three months with shore power and did nothing with the battery disconnect switch or the inverter/converter. I was wondering is this what we should do? We are preparing to spend four months in Florida. Thank you in advance for your advice....Earl

I leave mine plugged in all the time. Your only must is to check the battery monthly, if you have a wet cell battery. As the charging will boil water off at a relatively slow rate. The parasitic drain will actually help your charging letting the battery actually be charged. In short it exercises the battery.

Even though the Progressive Dynamics PD9280 converter is a smart, multi-stage battery charger, a small bit of boil-off is possible. I'd suggest the addition of a good battery watering system such as the Flow-Rite. Our Mobile Suites is plugged into shore power continuously. I use this and water the batteries monthly - they take VERY little water, and it's a lot easier than having to pull caps, see the electrolyte level and add distilled water manually.
