Quantum WS31 Slide issue
Had this rig for about a year, took it out 4 or 5 times for overnighters.. This weekend while doing a bit of work on it, i found that the "slide guide" (i think is what it is called) for the front of the slide is causing binding. Was quite a shock when trying to retract the slide, watch it bind and then cut loose with a loud pop.
After pulling the weather stripping of the bottom and watching as the slide goes in and out, i see that the guide is out of place by about 1/4 inch, when the slide retracts, it gets bound on the guide until it forces it way past. I can move the guide with a bar to keep this from happening, but would really like to correct the issue. I understand that the guides are there for some sort of rollover protection to keep the slide from moving, but since they are not providing any real support, it seems as it would be an easy thing to move or alter.
Has anyone been able to adjust these? The one in question is over a storage compartment and it appears as there are screws across the bottom and a few hangers for the storage (I hope is all the screws).
Is it as easy as it would sound to adjust the guide?
Also, while i was there poking around, it looks like the rollers are about 1/2 on and 1/2 off of the aluminum plates that they are supposed to ride on. Can those plates be moved without taking the room out, like maybe jacking up the slide while its extended (providing it is fully supported on the outside to keep it from going anywhere). Or does the entire slide need to come out to reposition those plates (or add additional plates next to the originals)?
Thank you for any advice..
