Radio & cameras only work when electric plugged in

hello, hope someone has a suggestion for this problem. We have a Thor ACE 30.1. If the MH is plugged in the outside camera views show up, including the rear when backing up, side views when we turn on the turn signals. As soon as we unplug the electric the radio won't work at all, so there are no camera views when just the engine is running. Hope that explains it... Any suggestions of what to check? We are supposed to take possession tomorrow and discovered the problem today. Greatly appreciate any ideas, thanks!!

The radio's power comes from the coach batteries with use switch in the "on" position, or in use.
The camera uses the radio's display screen.
Usually the first switch on the left, when turned on, you will hear a clunk, or clack noise from the fuse/breaker panel area.
It has 2 choices: Use, or Store, (connect, or disconnect coach batteries).

I believe, when plugged in, the converter automatically engages, supplying the 12vac, which radio needs.
When unplugged, converter turns off as it needs 120vac to create the 12vdc.
Thus, you need to engage the coach battery supply of 12vdc, via the use switch.

You also need the use switch in the on position, while plugged into shore power, to allow coach battery charging via the converter.
Chassis (engine) battery is a separate system.

Try that, let us know.

It should be okay, I did the same thing once, and you will laugh about it later...
I call it my blonde moment, LOL

It is set up for radio power off the coach batteries, so when using the radio while camping, puts no draw on the chassis battery, and maybe engine starting problem.

Hey everyone, another newbie here with the same issue only I think my disconnect may be stuck in the store position. My house batteries are reading in the 12 volt range. As long as I'm using shore power all is well. The minute I cut power I lose lights, radio etc. Does anyone have any suggestions to troubleshoot this further? Thanks in advance for any assistance.

The store/use (master power) relay is notorious for failing . It is a 55 amp latching relay and is located in a corner under the bed, just beside the power center. The relay is controlled by the switch but has a 5 amp fuse attached. be sure to check the fuse before you assume the relay is bad. This relay controls power from the house batteries to the 12 volt fuse panel in the power center.

I just had a similar problem and I fixed mine by locating the 50 manual reset breaker in the Battery Control Box. I have a TH-1020 BCC on my 2015 ACE. It had tripped I think when the battery was replaced.
