Good that they will fix it, but where was the quality control to prevent that in the first place?

4 screws for the door, 2 for the exhaust. Pull the exhaust out first, then remove the door. If the exhaust is rusty it may put up a fight; it just slides out.

I too have an issue with rain getting into my furnace. My furnace is located under my fridge and if we have rain that sheets down the side of the motorhome that has the furnace, I start getting water pooling inside the motorhome. I pulled out a drawer that is next to the furnace and saw water dripping from the furnace and then pooling up. At first I thought the water was coming from inside the furnace but last time I put my hand on top of the furnace box and it was wet. I have to put a plastic bag and tape it over the furnace panel on the outside to keep it from leaking during a heavy rain.

My 2017 ACE doesn't have louvers on the heater cover door, but that didn't prevent water from getting in. Water would get under the control board (mounted horizontally on a plastic shelf) and short out the pins.

The foam that Atwood uses on the door doesn't seal anything. I found some rubber weatherstrip that would fit in the groove the door fits in and now I'm water tight. I drilled some holes in the shelf to drain any water that might still get in and shimmed the board up a bit. Atwood will provide a control board relocation kit, but that involved a trip to CW because they won't ship one to an owner (only authorized service locations). My fix seems to be working.

Works

Finally got to take the cover off. FYI Mine had a screw that was covered by the decal. There was no puddles of water inside but the main board was wet. My cover was not leaking, the water came down from the cook stove vent cover that started to leak during the storm we had. I blew off the board and used my heat gun to dry it better and the furnace is working properly now. Phase the Lord! But as a precaution I did run some black electrical tape on the sides and top. The last pic is the cover that is above the furnace and was letting water in I resealed it today also.
