Rear dually tire inflation

Axis 25.2 rear tires, I can get to the valve stems on the inner tires but how do I get to the valve stem on the outer tires ? My hand won't fit between the two tires and I can't seem to take the chrome wheel cover off to reach it either, halp my friends.
Regards Bill

If you can’t reach it, you have to take that chrome cover off. Mine takes a pry bar and slowly prying it off inch by inch. It is easy to bend it so you have to be patient. I have also removed them with a super large screwdriver and hammer, but I find that more difficult. After you get it off, you may be able to position the valve stems so that when you put the cover back on you can reach them.

Nope, If they look like mine you take off two of the lug nuts ( actually they are fake ) and remove the cap. You can identify the two fake lug nuts by the indentation on one flat and will be 180 degrees from each other. Front caps and rear caps come off the same way on my rig. Once you remove the caps you will see the real lug nuts.

Your Axis is different than a Gemini. I don’t think that will work on your Axis, unless they have completely changed them l

I understand, I'll look for indentations on the fake lug nuts and unscrew the wheel cover off in the morning, it's a new rig to me and this is the first time I've had to add air to the tires since purchased, wish me luck ty very much.
Regards Bill

Install extenders - worth the cost.

Hope this photo uploads via Advanced settings

I see you have 8 lug. Mine are 6 lug so they are probably Oneilkeys suggests. If you are still having issues most nationwide tire stores will check the air free and they will know how to remove them.

Small breaker bar it is mates, thanks for your help !

Agree with using extenders. They come in different lengths and are not expensive. Make sure to screw on securely. I've had no problems with mine after 3 years.

You're not going to like this but...the best way to install valve stem extensions is to actually remove the tire(s). I know. Sounds counter productive but you install the extensions and then check for leaks with soapy water. Just trying to keep you safe out there.

Guess it depends on the location. I was able to see the stems. I installed the extenders with the tire in place and then checked for leaks with soapy water. I did not need to remove the tires.

Something that I noticed no one may or may not have touched on is the fact that your hand couldn’t fit in between the duals, depending on your usages i.e. the weight and mileage your doing. Heat expands tires and if their already that close, you might thinking about checking them at your heaviest usage throughout the trip and make sure they aren’t rubbing. Rubbing will cause them get extremely hotter and could take a chance of one or both popping.

Everyone be safe out there.
