Rear slide out motor wires failed

Was at kurts repair for water leak and slide would not retract.

On phone with thor no help .
They emailed schematics no help.
Kurt found a wire that was hard attached to the rear motor pulled off.
We had this checked by piece rv in montana and they could not find!!

Kurt found the wire and I order a new motor from Thor.

Hopefully it is mailed and installed this week.

You're two for two with Kurts. Keep him in your back pocket!

Hi Torque Motor

This is the Hi-torque motor used only of triple track, full wall in-wall slides. (usually). Good to find someone who can find the problem and fix it promptly.

This motor is not exclusively used on three track slides. This motor powers my two track slide which is 11 ft long.

You are correct. On our Challenger all three slides had high torque motors and none of them were Triple Trak.

What folks need to be careful of is to not mix motors and have a high torque and regular motor trying to operate the same slide or overhead bunk.

I hope you still have the motor. That connector is standard and can be found on Mouser or Digikey. You can replace it or just purchase a replacement pin. They just need the keeper to be released and then the pins slide out. You have a perfectly good motor and that connector is very inexpensive.

Are they geared differently?

Yes standard is 300:1 ratio and high torque is 500:1. Both of my slides had 500:1.

Thanks!
I wonder if it would be worth swapping to hi-torque motors on a couple of relatively small slides?
