What is this switch?

Super new guy here. I recently purchase a 2002 Four Winds 31S. It is our first RV/motorhome. I didn't get a whole lot of information from the private party seller and now I have questions. There is a switch on the bottom side of the overhead storage near the door. It's simply labeled "on/off". Any idea what is controls? Also, the porch light isn't working, not sure if the two are related. TIA.

On my 2015 Hurricane I have 3 switch's located at the bottom of the
cabinet by the entry door.

From left to right... power switch to turn on or kill power from the
batteries, electric awning, electric stairs.

If the outside light does not work, pull the cover off and see if the
bulb is burned out....simple to replace. Should be able to buy a
replacement at auto parts or RV store.

The switch I am referring to is above the rear most (forward facing) dinette seat. It's minted horizontally on the underside of the overhead storage cabinets.

I have two of those switches by the door. Electric steps and battery disconnect. How do you turn on your porch light?

could be almost anything, if an owner modification. I installed an outlet up there, and installed some white twinkle lights for DW (aka Christmas lights, but smaller and better looking led strings), and mounted a switch under the cabinet similar to what you describe.
Can you trace the wires?

I'd check the bulb in the porch light. Certainly could be related.

The porch lite switch should be on the underside of the closest overhead cabinet to the entry door. the switch by the dinette may be a secondary switch for the light over the dinette.

Outside light switch

Newbie here too. I have 2004 Fourwinds 31P. My outside light switch is head high on side of cabinet, white rocker. I would like to know what switch is under same cabinet, dark brown on/off switch with red light?

Steve

Sounds like a Battery Disconnect switch. If you are not plugged in, the battery disconnect switch turns the power off and on. It is a momentary on off switch that controls a solenoid that connects the battery to the power panel.
